Once Upon A Time...

Once upon a time, there was a dating app. We matched, had some great conversations and went about our lives. Two years and a few life chapters later, Alex finally realized that Kamilah was dropping some not-so-subtle hints!

We finally met in 2018 and had our first date: dinner and a (not-so-great) movie. Alex left telling all his friends it was the best date ever, while Kamilah was just hoping she hadn’t made a fool of herself eating sushi.

From there, we took turns driving nearly two hours to see each other. When we couldn’t be together, we shared music, played games online, and texted way too much. And when we could be together, we filled our days with more gaming (Kamilah still hasn’t gotten any better, even though Alex thinks she's the best).

Eventually one December night in 2022, Kamilah was shocked to find Alex on one knee. After making sure it wasn’t a joke, she of course said “yes!”
